Custom software built around what you need.

Valley Web Co. develops custom web applications, database-backed systems, and SaaS platforms from Salem, Oregon. We help turn a business workflow or product idea into working software, with a clear scope and quote before development begins.

When your project needs more than pages

A marketing website helps people learn about your business. A web application lets people do something: manage an account, enter information, follow results, work with a team, or use a product. That means thinking through the data, permissions, workflows, and interfaces together.

We build for businesses, organizations, and product ideas in the Willamette Valley and beyond. An internal tool, a customer portal, or a public-facing platform can all start with the same question: what should this make possible for the people using it?

What we can build

  • Custom web applications: customer portals, internal tools, dashboards, booking workflows, and interactive experiences.
  • Database-backed systems: data structures, imports, search, reporting, and the backend logic behind the interface.
  • SaaS platforms: accounts, teams, permissions, subscription integrations, product dashboards, and administration tools.
  • Integrations: APIs, payment services, CRM connections, and automation between existing systems.
  • Ongoing product development: new features, technical improvements, maintenance, and support scoped as your needs evolve.

Examples of our application work

BassHub brings together bass fishing clubs, tournaments, schedules, and results. It illustrates the difference between publishing a few pages and building a platform organized around connected information.

Wordio offers two multiplayer word games in the browser: a shared board and head-to-head duels. It shows another side of custom development, where interaction and gameplay shape the experience.

We built and continue to maintain these projects. Visit our portfolio to see them alongside the business and organization websites we work on.

How we scope a software project

First, we discuss who will use the software, what they need to accomplish, and which systems or data already exist. We work through the essential features, access requirements, integrations, and the first useful release.

Your proposal defines the deliverables, estimated timeline, fees, and review checkpoints. During development, we use those checkpoints to review working functionality. Launch, handover, hosting, and ongoing support are agreed as part of the project rather than left as assumptions.

Questions about custom development

Can we start with a smaller first version?

Yes. We can separate the essential first release from later improvements and quote the work in stages. That gives you a defined starting point while keeping the wider product in view.

Can you work with our existing database or software?

We’ll review the existing setup and the access or integration options before proposing an approach. The scope may involve extending the current system, connecting it to another service, or planning a migration.

Do you only build complex platforms?

No. We also design and maintain business websites. The size of the project follows the need, whether that is a clear online presence or a platform with multiple kinds of users.
